Why created a new standalone Terrace Dewsbury website
The Terrace Dewsbury is part of Beerhouses – a boutique pub group with 6 venues in West Yorkshire and Stalybridge. While we are very much part of the Beerhouses family, we are the odd sibling that doesn’t quite fit in! We are different, and beautifully so. While our sibling venues are all pubs, open every day doing what great pubs do, we are an events and private hire venue, only throwing open our doors for parties, live music, DJ nights, and other occasions. If you come here, you’re coming with a purpose – to see a great band, to relive your youth with a superstar DJ, to celebrate with someone important and much more.
We felt that we needed our own spotlight and here we are with our own website!
Collabbing with Dewsbury Music Foundation
Of course, it’s not JUST about us. In fact, we couldn’t do this at all without the collaboration we’ve formed with musician-led collective, Dewsbury Music Foundation, which is dedicated to creating opportunities for local live artists and supporting grassroots venues in Dewsbury.
As co-founder of DMF, John Hetherington, said “Go see that local band, in that local grassroots venue. Buy the merch. Buy the music. Share the socials. Like the socials. Word of mouth the shit out of anything you think is great. All of the above will make our scene bloom.”
