KMW continues its run in Dewsbury on 20th March
On the back of the huge success of the first Kirklees Most Wanted Dewsbury Showcase in February, a whole new line-up is back on 20th March so we go again! We had the enormously talented PENNY, Don Gonzo, Simon Walker and Eve Jone at the first gig and this time up we’re looking forward to hosting Elefem, DuckLin Curls, and Vazon with DJ support from Fiesta La Ginger.
This is the second event in a series of 3 and once again, this will be a free event, with a dual purpose to make high quality live music accessible to all and provide local artists with a platform to build their audiences and show what they can do.
Here’s more detail about the artists performing at Showcase #2:
Elefem: Blending R&B and soul with modern influences, Elefem performs extensively around West Yorkshire and released 4 singles in 2025. She’s interested in pushing the boundaries of genre and is a dedicated songwriter.
DuckLin Curls: Inspired by everything from the raw lyricism of Wu-Tang, the boundary breaking production of The Neptunes and the more introspective reflections of Mac Miller, Curls brings a refreshing voice to UK hip hop and pushes others to grow alongside him.
Vazon: Vazon describes their sound to trying to convert the chaos and noise in their heads to stunning live performances that leave minds blown. They have been described as one of the best live bands on the scene.
The concept was developed by Saving Grace Inc, who has run several similar events with great success in Huddersfield and become something of a launchpad for performers looking to build their audiences and show what they can do. It’s been supported by Arts Council England, and this allows us to pay the artists a fair fee and make the event free to local music fans too so it’s really a win win!
