KMW completes its run in Dewsbury on 17th April

The Kirklees Most Wanted series at The Terrace has been nothing short of epic with performances from amazing local talent including PENNY, Eve Jone, Devon Salinas, Elefem, DuckLin Curls and Vazon – all backed up by Fiesta La Ginger on the decks. Of course, all good things must come to an end and the FINAL INSTALMENT of this Dewsbury series will take place on Friday 17th April with yet more huge talent from Deaf Romero, Adenico, and Reight Twang. This is what one audience member said:

“Was a great venue. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The artists were really professional and upbeat, perfect for a Friday night after a long week. Vazon in particular were full of energy and provided a really original sound, hard to believe that there are only two of them on stage…bought a t- shirt, it was nice to have something to remember the evening as well. Would definitely see them again.”

As before, this will be a free event, with a dual purpose to make high quality live music accessible to all and provide local artists with a platform to build their audiences and show what they can do.

Here’s more detail about the artists performing at Showcase #3:

Deaf Romero

Deaf Romero:

DEAF ROMERO is a high-energy alternative rock trio exploding out of the Halifax/Huddersfield scene. Their sound is a “cartoony,” neon-soaked celebration of ‘90s alt-rock, fueled by dual vocals, electronic synth wizardry, and gritty “pulp storytelling.” Drawing inspiration from the occult to the breakfast table, they’ve become a powerhouse of the West Yorkshire circuit.
Coming off the back of BBC Introducing airplay and high-profile support slots for Lizzie Esau and Dirty Blonde, the trio has hit 2026 at full tilt. With recent standout performances at Ey Up Mi Duck Festival and Holmfirth Picturedrome’s ‘Grassfed,’ DEAF ROMERO is proving to be one of the most unpredictable and electrifying acts in the North.

Adenico

Adenico:

ADENiCO is an independent artist from West Yorkshire blending Soul, Indie Rock and Hip-Hop into a melodic, genre-crossing sound. Known as a vocalist, producer and multi-instrumentalist, he has performed at prominent venues across the UK — including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club — and has supported artists such as Children of Zeus. His music pairs introspective lyricism with live instrumentation and contemporary production, pushing beyond genre while remaining grounded in authenticity. After over 10 years in the industry ADENiCO recently released his debut single ‘OUTSIDUES’ in collaboration with DNB DJ/producer Ventus.

Reight Twang:

Rooted firmly in the North, Reight Twang delivers a sound as authentic and sharp as their name suggests. They specialise in a high-octane collision of ska, punk, funk, and rock, all served with a distinct regional edge. Known for their ability to turn any floor into a dancing crowd, their grit and groove are perfectly suited for the intimate, high-energy atmosphere of The Terrace.

The concept was developed by Saving Grace Inc, who has run several similar events with great success in Huddersfield and become something of a launchpad for performers looking to build their audiences and show what they can do. It’s been supported by Arts Council England, and this allows us to pay the artists a fair fee and make the event free to local music fans too so it’s really a win win!
